The feature film project CHARLIE, THE TREE GIRL receives selective production funding Netherlands Film Fund!

The new youth feature film CHARLIE THE TREE GIRL received selective production funding from the Netherlands Film Fund! The project is a co-production with the Dutch public broadcaster KRO-NCRV and with the Belgian producer De Mensen.

CHARLIE THE TREE GIRL is written by Lineke van den Boezem and Matthijs van Wensveen and will be directed by Sanne Vogel.

Anna (10) feels insecure because she can't keep up at school. Her imagination is sparked when grandpa Koos tells her about Charlie, the miraculous tree girl who was also dif erent from other children. Anna's confidence grows as she takes grandpa on a journey where the boundary between imagination and reality is crossed.
