PRESENT ARE THE ABSENT is an interwoven story about three women, each dealing in their own way with the absence of their loved ones who stayed behind in Ukraine, while they've find refuge in a luxurious but crowded hotel in Poland.
This is a documentary produced by Tjan Tjan Films (Lieke Heil) in co-production with IJswater Films, made with support from Amsterdam Fund for the Arts and VEVAM.
