Killing Crabs / Matar Cangrejos

Rayco, an eight-year-old boy, and his fourteen-year-old sister, Paula, pass the time in every possible way as they anxiously await the arrival of crabs in Tenerife. When their mother becomes pregnant by a foreign man, Rayco and Paula worry that their lives may change before the crabs reach the island.
IJswater Films has been selected for a minority co-production by the Netherlands Film Fund in the first round of 2021. Also supported by the Creative Europe MEDIA program, RTVC (Televisión Canaria), TEA (Tenerife Espacio de Artes), Gobierno de Canarias, and ICAA.
