The Polish Bride

DIRECTOR / KARIM TRAÏDIA

Anna, an innocent Polish woman has come to the Netherlands under some false excuses by a couple of pimps that want to let her work in a brothel. She manages to escape and is being found on the farmyard of the silent farmer Henk. Anna is terrified and debilitated, but is being lovingly taken care of by Henk. He offers to pay her journey back to Poland, but she insists that she wants to work for it. Meanwhile she can stay as long as she wants. The past however still obsesses her…

Karim Traïdia’s feature film debut THE POLISH BRIDE was part of the low budget feature film series Route 2000 in which writers, directors and producers got the opportunity to make their first feature film.
