Anton de Kom – I shall be heard (working title) tells the story of the eventful life of the Surinamese – Dutch writer, activist and resistance fighter Anton de Kom, author of the book: ‘We slaves of Surinam’ (1934). Torn apart by the injustice of colonialism, social exploitation and the betrayal by his country of origin.

Honoured, exiled, persecuted and made a mad man, he still found the strength to tell a story that would inspire the generation of today.
