BLUE NOTES & HIGHER GROUNDS, the new documentary by filmmaker Erik de Bruyn (including Wild Mussels, Borderlanders, The Heart of Hadiah Tromp, Guitar Boys and Racoon: Blue Days Song Days), will premiere at Filmtheater Zierikzee this Sunday, December 15. A loving personal musical portrait about his father Anthon, and his friends from the Zeeland Seaside Dixieland Jazz Band, about the healing power of making music together and getting older, where sometimes you have to say goodbye to certain aspects of your life. Both after the premiere in the afternoon and prior to the screening in the evening, the respective musicians of the Seaside Dixieland Band will give a short live performance during the walk-in starting at 7 p.m. in the movie theater. https://www.fizi.nl/programma/blue-notes-higher-grounds/
