Mia was born in an underground waste container and lives out her days sorting waste
while she dreams of a better life above the ground. A pregnancy suddenly makes this
dream a possibility. Together with Boris she travels through the container, looking for
the exit. They are thwarted by the world in which they are trapped, but can their
willpower and hope get them out?
A coming-of-age drama and underground road movie in a waste container, in which young
Mia fights for a better future for her and her unborn child. Contemporary contradictions are
being forced to the argument to ask the question: ‘Is our world as makeable as we like to
believe it is?’
